Pediatrician and Medical Officer Community Health, Kaushambi Dr. SAM Meesum has been awarded by the prestigious Bharat Jyoti Award at Delhi for his commendable services in the field of Maternal and Child health in rural areas. He is continuously committed to reduce pregnancy related deaths and new born deaths in rural areas by attending the patients and training Dai, Asha, Anganwadi workers, ANMs and other related workers in proper antenatal checkups ,new born care and routine immunization. In the field of AIDS control and management his works are laudable. He has trained all the medical and non medical staff of Kaushambi about AIDS and has diagnosed and managed many HIV positives including some full-blown AIDS. He is Hony.
