The Indian Academy of Pediatrics – Infectious
Disease Chapter in association with IAP-Bangalore
Branch hosted the Xth National Conference of
Pediatric Infectious Diseases in Bangalore from
13th to 14th October 2007. The number of
registered delegates was 320 that included
Pediatricians, Post-Graduates and Academicians.
The scientific programme consisted of 19
sessions, which were spread over two days. The
faculty was drawn from all over the country and
42 eminent speakers delivered state of the art
lectures. All the sessions was very well
appreciated by one and all. Two Protocols on
Rabies and Malaria were organized during the
occasion.
The topics covered were on Tuberculosis, Rabies,
Malaria, Pediatric HIV/AIDS, other emerging
Infectious Diseases, Pneumonias, Neuroinfections
along with Group Discussions on Polio
Eradication, Vaccinations, Simple Rational
Laboratory Investigations, and others.
